Paddy Power fan experiences

We recently had the pleasure of working with Paddy Power, who were the main sponsor of the World Darts Championship in 2023. Their aim was to make their fanzone the biggest and best yet, utilising various video brand activations along with games within the space. 

Our team worked with CSM Live to deliver four Paddy Power digital fan experiences known as Challenge A Pro, Commentary Challenge, Paddy’s Bullseye Challenge, and The Lucky Archway. Our innovative use of  technology enabled us to create an unforgettable event experience for Darts fans.

Challenge A Pro:
We Are Xi ensured a seamless experience. Fans simply scanned a QR card to start, allowing them to concentrate on trying to beat a real darts Pro from the tournament. Behind the scenes, the app recorded both the player and a close-up of the dartboard, producing an edited video of the brand experience. By scanning the QR code, fans received their content directly to their phone, ready to view and download.

We provided expert consultancy, guiding booth construction and ensuring seamless software and hardware integration. Collaborating with the client’s in-house team, we created an engaging booth that captivated attendees.

Commentary Challenge

We created a unique experience, with a karaoke style commentary booth featuring a replay of last years ‘Greatest Leg of All time’ clip. Fans entered a soundproof booth to record their own version.

As with “Challenge A Pro”, users received QR code cards, enabling them to access their personalised content instantly.

A share station outside the booth displayed the latest recordings, tempting fans into the booth to join in.

Paddy’s Bullseye Challenge

The Bullseye Challenge injected precision and excitement into the event, offering participants three attempts to hit the bullseye mark for exciting rewards such as free drinks and cash prizes.

Our app seamlessly recorded and edited the entertainment to fully capture the fans’ attempts. Their content was instantly available by scanning their QR code cards in hand.

The Lucky Arch
We enhanced the sensory experience with the “Lucky Arch”, using sensors that responded to attendees’ movements. After 20 people had walked through the archway, lights and a celebratory siren would be triggered. Panic and excitement!

Our involvement extended to provide consultancy on the archway’s structure, software, and hardware. Collaborating with the client’s in-house team, we created a mesmerising archway that added a touch of magic to every participant’s event experience.
